Information day in Kaagvere village

On 11th of August archaeologists from University of Tartu held an information day dedicated to rescue excavations on Niklusemäe cemetery. Archaeologists talked about their work and how they use artifacts to create a coherent Picture of the Past. The visitors were introduced to different prehistoric and medieval artifacts and also had a chance to learn about ancient burial rites. Archaeologists also talked about the problem of grave looting and gave people information on what to, if someone comes across an antiquity.
